In this talk, Dr. Nina-Luisa Siedler dives into "Update on MiCAR for Token Issuers (other than ART/EMT)". This talk was held in Munich at the 2024 TUM Blockchain Conference. Abstract: As time is running out for token issuances to be completed prior to MiCAR kicking in at the end of 2024, new token projects focus on understanding the impact of MiCAR for their endeavors. Is a whitepaper required? What are the mitiagtion strategies for the rather rigid liability involved with whitepapers? What additional requirements need to be observed? The TUM Blockchain Conference 2024, hosted by the TUM Blockchain Club, brought together top researchers, developers, regulators, and students to share and discuss the latest trends and developments in web3. However, a truly holistic and structured approach to governance (on-chain and off-chain) is not available yet and many projects lack guidance as to the entirety of aspects which need to be taken into account. This talk aims to highlight current efforts of a roundtable recently invited by The Wharton School – University of Pennsylvania to create more transparency with regard to governance structures by developing a disclosure questionnaire.
